Japanese White Sauce
INGREDIENTS
- 2 Cup of Mayonnaise
- 1/2 Cup Ketchup
- 3 tbsp Sugar
- 1 tbsp Garlic Powder
- 1 tbsp Paprika
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
- 1/2 Cup of water
- 1 tsp Sriracha or other hot sauce
INSTRUCTIONS
- Mix all ingredients in a bowl.
- Add extra sugar to taste.
- Allow to sit in refrigerator for at least an hour before serving so that flavors can meld.
- Whisk the ingredients together very quickly to mix the mayo in thoroughly.
Notes: This is the white sauce that is served at Japanese Steak Houses. It might also be known as yum yum sauce. It is not a traditional Japanese Sauce. This is more a Americanized-Japanese fusion sauce and not really served in Japan.
